Hello Kitty has become a global icon and is adorned by many children and adults throughout the world. The cute fictional cartoon character shaped like a cat and wears a red bow on her head, also known as ‘kitty-chan’, was made in 1974 by Sanrio, a Japanese Merchandising company that focuses on the Japanese kawaii culture (cuteness).
Hello Kitty represents the emotions & desires of all people whether it is joy, happiness, or sadness. “Hello Kitty doesn’t judge. She lets you feel how you feel without forcing you to question why”. Hello Kitty is incredibly popular worldwide, but have you ever heard of Hello Kitty Showbox?
Pasona Group brings people closer to experiencing the adorable character with one of its facilities and performance at Hello Kitty Showbox on Awaji Island, Hyogo Prefecture. The location itself is in the farmlands of Awaji Island and once you enter the restaurant which has a cute and high-class interior, you will be able to witness a giant screen spanning 6 meters wide & 16 meters tall.
The concept of the establishment is a theatre restaurant where you can enjoy a delicious meal while watching a wonderful performance of Hello Kitty Sanrio that consists of a medley of heartwarming songs, musical performances, and dances. After the show, it is possible to purchase Hello Kitty accessories at the store which sells limited editions of Hello Kitty items.

The meal is also incredibly delicious. Hal Yamashita who is the chef of this restaurant created a healthy and environmentally conscious menu, with the ingredient coming from the local farms at Awaji. As the food is also Hello Kitty themed, it does not only taste great but is also fun to look at. The restaurant has three different varieties of menus which are for lunch, afternoon, and dinner.
The theatre restaurant is exceptional but there is still more to enjoy.
