Privacy Policy (applicable to EU and UK residents only)

Pasona Group Inc. (“PASONA”) may collect and process Personal Data. This Privacy Policy (this “Privacy Policy”) applies to the processing of Personal Data concerning data subjects in the European Union as well as Iceland, Liechtenstein and Norway (collectively, “EU”) in accordance with REGULATION (EU) 2016/679 OF THE EUROPEAN PARLIAMENT AND OF THE COUNCIL of 27 April 2016 on the protection of natural persons with regard to the processing of personal data and on the free movement of such data, and repealing Directive 95/46/EC (“GDPR”), and in the United Kingdom (UK) in accordance with the United Kingdom General Data Protection Regulation and other applicable data protection laws (UK GDPR).

 

1. Personal Data

In this Privacy Policy, Personal Data means any data relating to an identified or identifiable natural person (“Personal Data”). Personal Data which Pasona Group may acquire from EU residents and process as follows:

(1) Profile:

          Name:

          Email address:

          Nationality:

(2) Career:

          Final education, school name, faculty and department name and enrollment period

          Experienced job and responsibilities; and

(3) Attached files submitted by data subjects:

          Personal Data which is described in resumes, employment history, English resumes and others submitted by data subjects.

 

2. Use of Personal Data

Pasona Group acquires and processes Personal Data for the following purposes:

(1) identifying and evaluating candidates for potential employment;

(2) communicating for the recruitment processes including interviews;

(3) evaluating candidates for potential employment within Pasona Group’s group companies including companies in different countries;

(4) recordkeeping in relation to recruitment;

(5) ensuring compliance with legal requirements, including diversity and fair employment practices;

and

(6) legitimate processing in relation to the above purposes:

Pasona Group will process Personal Data in principal on the basis that data subjects have provided

their consent for it to do so when they indicated their acceptance of this Privacy Policy. Provision of

Personal Data is necessary for the purposes above. Data subjects may withdraw their consent to this

processing at any time. However, this will not affect the lawfulness of any processing carried out

before withdrawal of the consent.

following requirement:

3. Disclosure to Third Parties

Pasona Group may disclose Personal Data to Pasona Group’s group companies only where it is

necessary for achieving the purpose of use described in “Use of Personal Data” above.

 

4. Cross Border Transfer

Personal Data may be transferred to entities in countries or jurisdictions outside the EU such as Japan.

Please note that such countries or jurisdictions may not have the same data protection laws as the EU and would not afford many of the rights conferred upon data subjects in the EU.

 

5. Retention of Personal Data

Pasona Group will retain Personal Data to the extent necessary for achieving the purpose of use

described in “Use of Personal Data” above, unless a longer retention period is required or permitted

by law. If Pasona Group provides an offer of employment and you accept it, any relevant personal data collected through your application will be a part of your personnel records and will be retained by Pasona Group. If Pasona Group does not employ you, we may continue to retain and use a minimum amount of your personal data for recording and system administration purposes for the period in accordance with applicable law.

 

6. Right of Data Subjects

Data subjects have the right to access, request for correction, request for deletion, request to limit theprocessing, object to the processing, and request for data portability, with regards to their Personal Data retained by Pasona Group. When Pasona Group receives a request based on the right specified above, Pasona Group shall conduct any necessary investigation without delay and provide data subjects or a nominated third party with Personal Data in order to respond to such rights without delay.

 

7. Right to Complain with Data Protection Authority

Data subjects have the right to lodge a complaint with the local data protection authority if they have a complaint regarding to Pasona Group’s processing of their Personal Data.

Privacy Policy for Non-EU Applicants

 

Pasona Group Inc., Awaji Youth Federation Division (“Pasona Group”, “we”, or “our”) is

committed to protecting the privacy of all applicants who apply for the AYF Fellowship

Program from outside the European Economic Area (EEA) and United Kingdom. This

Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, and protect personal data in accordance with

Japan’s Act on the Protection of Personal Information (APPI).

 

 

1. Personal Data We Collect

We may collect the following categories of personal data from applicants: • Name, date of

birth, gender, nationality, and contact information (address, phone number, email) •

Academic background, employment history, professional qualifications, and skills • Desired

job position, program participation period, and motivation statements • Any personal data

contained in resumes, portfolios, or other documents submitted by applicants

 

2. Purpose of Use

Pasona Group uses personal data for the following purposes: • To conduct recruitment and

selection activities for the AYF Fellowship Program • To communicate with applicants
